Today, after going to the Bronx Zoo, a new light has shined on my kidz and myself. We had a lot of fun walking around and seeing the different animals. Memories were made, fears were faced and we got even further in the development of our theme, WE SEE PROBLEMS TOO. My kids were looking at the different animals and performed a three step process.
STEP 1: Look at the animals.
STEP 2: Stereotype them, what was the first thing you thought about the animals.
STEP 3: Look at the facts about the animal.
After this my kids began to really understand our final project on stereotypes. We had fun and took a lot of pics too. I have to give a shout out to my kids, TOP DOLLA TEENS, for their exceptional job and also my SYEPs, they all did they thing, from crossing to keeping the kids engaged, big props to them. All and all today was a good day and I hope to have more.
One other thing, if any staff have any ideas for an end of the year trip for middle school please talk to Vanessa ASAP.
